Gemma Beeson began taking piano lessons at the age of four, entering the Royal Northern College of Music in 2002, where she studied with Carole Presland for five years before moving to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In 2008 she was awarded a Young Artists Fellowship in Piano, studying with Paul Roberts. She is the winner of the Michael Harding International Piano Prize, and has won prizes at the Hastings Concerto Competition and the Intercollegiate Beethoven Competition, as well as numerous other awards and scholarships. In 2010 she joined the team of staff accompanists at Wells Cathedral School. In 2013 she became a member of the highly acclaimed multi-piano group Piano Circus, and remains in demand as a solo pianist, accompanist, and chamber musician, her busy and varied performing schedule taking her around the world.
