Haoxing Liang was born in China. At the age of six he began playing the violin. After his studies at the Chinese State Conservatoire of Music in Beijing he completed his studies in 2001 at the Vienna Music University and became Magister artium. He was a prizewinner at the International Violin Competition in Zagreb “Vaclav Huml”. As a soloist he has performed extensively in Austria, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, Germany, China and Russia. From 1996 until 1999 Haoxing Liang was concertmaster of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. As guest concertmaster he has been working with orchestras including that of the Komische Oper Berlin, the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken-Kaiserslautern and the Bochumer Symphoniker. Since 1999, Haoxing Liang has been first concertmaster of the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg. He is teacher for violin and chamber music at the Conservatoire d’Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg. Haoxing Liang has recorded the complete chamber music works of Gabriel Pierné (Timpani) as well as works by Vincent D’Indy (Timpani).
