JÉRÔME BOUTILLIER

Trained as a pianist and vocal coach, Jérôme Boutillier studied singing at the Boulogne conservatory. In 2017, he sang the role of Don Sanche in Chimène, ou Le Cid by Sacchini under the baton of Julien Chauvin, before singing the King in Le Tribut de Zamora by Gounod in Munich with the Palazzetto Bru Zane.

He gained recognition when he stepped into the role of Le Comte de Luddorf in this production at the last-minute—learning the part in 48 hours. In September 2018, he sang the role of Morales in Carmen at the Geneva Opera, and Urson in Tarare by Salieri in Versailles, Vienna and Caen. He received acclaim for the role of Bardi in Dante by Benjamin Godard in Saint-Étienne, before singing the role of Alidor in Isouard’s Cendrillon, also in Saint-Étienne, and his first Silvio in Pagliacci.

Future projects include Hagen in Sigurd by Reyer in Nancy and his first Zurga in Les Pêcheurs de perles in Toulon, before returning to the Opéra Comique as Gaveston in La Dame blanche by Boieldieu.
