JAN PHILIP SCHULZE
Jan Philip Schulze studied at the Musikhochschule in Munich as well as at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He has been awarded prestigious scholarships and prizes at international competitions in Italy, Spain and South Africa.
He currently enjoys a busy career as a soloist, chamber musician, vocal accompanist and professor at important international festivals and theatres including the Salzburger Festspiele, the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, the Edinburgh Festival, the Lucerne Festival, the Teatro alla Scala, Milan, the Theatre du Chatelet, Paris, the Theatre de la Monnaie, Brussels, the Berliner Philharmonie, the Wigmore Hall, London, the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, and many others. Jan Philip Schulze has performed with distinguished colleagues and orchestras.
His discography covers a broad range from songs by Strauss and Berg to the complete piano works of Hans Werner Henze (on col legno), and from early classical chamber music (with the Trio Amedee on Dabringhaus) to first recordings of major contemporary piano concertos.
