JOSÉ MIGUEL PÉREZ-SIERRA

José Miguel Pérez-Sierra began his conducting career as assistant to Gabriele Ferro. He studied with Gianluigi Gelmetti at the Accademia Chigiana and Colin Metters at the Royal Academy in London and was assistant to Alberto Zedda from 2004 to 2009. After his debut with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia in 2005 he collaborated with the Rossini Opera Festival, conducting Il viaggio a Reims in 2006 and La scala di seta in 2011. He has undertaken engagements throughout the world and regularly conducts orchestras such as the Sinfónica de Madrid, the Orquesta de Radio Televisión Española (ORTVE), the Orquesta Nacional de España (ONE), the Orchestre National de Lorraine, the Orchestre Metropolitaine de Montréal and the Robert Schumann Philharmonie.
