KAE SHIRAKI

Kae Shiraki was born in Tokyo and received her first piano lessons from Hideko Kikukawa at the age of three, going on to study with Michael Schäfer and Elisso Wirssaladze at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. After completing the distinguished Meisterklassenpodium diploma, she continued her studies with Gérard Frémy and Guigla Katsarava at the École Normal de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot, where she received her diploma with distinction.

She has won numerous prizes at international competitions in Italy, France and Germany, including Third Prize at the Concorso Mauro Paolo Monopoli, Italy, Second Prize at the Concours Internationale Arcachon France, Grand Prix Régional at the Prix Vendôme à Paris, France, and First Prize at the Concorso Internazionale Città di Marsala, Italy, among others. Shiraki has also been awarded several scholarships, including from the Richard Wagner Association, Germany.
