Contralto Marion Eckstein is a regular guest performer at venues and festivals such as the Konzerthaus, Berlin, the Alte Oper, Frankfurt, Suntory Hall, Tokyo, the Tonhalle, Zürich, the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, the Konzerthaus Wien, the Leipzig Bach Festival, and the Salzburger Festspiele.

Eckstein has sung under the baton of conductors such as Ivor Bolton, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, René Jacobs, Helmuth Rilling, Yutaka Sado, Jukka-Pekka Saraste and Thomas Hengelbrock. She has performed with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, the European Chamber Orchestra, the Staatskapelle Dresden, the Tonhalle Orchester Zürich, the WDR Sinfonieorchester, Concerto Köln, and the Freiburger Barockorchester.

Opera engagements include Carmen, and Mary in Wagner’s Der fliegende Holländer in Stuttgart, Bradamante in Handel’s Alcina in Wiesbaden and performances at the Tiroler Festspiele.

Her numerous recordings have been released on record labels such as Capriccio and Naxos, and she also appeared on Lotti, Zelenka, Bach released by Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, which received a Gramophone Award in the Baroque Vocal category.
