MAXIM SEMYONOV

Мaxim Semyonov was born in Moscow in 1979, into a family of musicians. From 1989 until 1996, he studied French horn at the Central Music School of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and he also was a member of the wind quintet created by ‘New Names’, a Russian organisation supporting young musical talent. In 2001 Semyonov graduated from the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, where he studied under renowned professor L. Melnikov. From 2006 to 2010 he was a member of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, and in 2010 he was awarded the position of solo French horn with the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre. Semyonov is also an active solo and chamber music performer, and as a hobby, plays bass guitar in the rock-group Tintal.
