The bass-baritone Mirco Palazzi was born in Rimini, first studying the piano and then singing at the Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro with Robleto Merolla, and winning various prizes. He made his debut as Don Giovanni in Riva del Garda, followed by Dvořák’s The Jacobin at Wexford. He has sung in Verdi’s Requiem in Liverpool and with the Verdi Orchestra in Milan, as well as in Rossini’s Stabat mater in Catania, Pesaro and Bolzano, which he has recorded for Naxos (8.573531).

Further engagements have taken him to Rome, Florence, Amsterdam, La Scala in Milan, Dallas, Washington, Barcelona, Marseille, Bordeaux, London and the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, where he sang Mosè in Rossini’s Mosè in Egitto.
