RAMÓN PAÚS (b 1956 )
Ramón Paús graduated from the prestigious Aula de Música Moderna y Jazz – Conservatorio del Liceo de Barcelona, and studied orchestration with various teachers in Paris and Lyon. His compositions include the original soundtrack of the prizewinning Las Huellas Borradas directed by Enrique Gabriel Lipchutz and Ignacio Oliva’s La Rosa de Nadie. His work for the theatre includes music for Aristophanes’ The Birds (Las Aves) for the International Classical Theatre Festival of Mérida. His compositions have been performed in major concert halls in Europe and the Americas. In March 2018 his Concerto No. 1 for Bass Clarinet and Orchestra will have its world premiere. This work has been commissioned by the OCNE, with soloist Eduardo Raimundo and director Juanjo Mena.
