After studying at the Conservatoire de Paris, Vannina Santoni made her debut in the role of Donna Anna in Don Giovanni in Italy and at Opéra Royal de Versailles. She went on to sing the roles of Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro), Fanny (La cambiale di matrimonio), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Eurydice (Orphée aux enfers), Micaëla (Carmen), Suor Angelica and Lauretta (Il trittico), Adele (Die Fledermaus), and Adina (L’elisir d’amore).
She has made guest appearances at the Théâtre du Capitole, Toulouse as Zerlina (Don Giovanni) and Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), and returned in the role of Patricia Baer in Philippe Hurel’s new production Pigeons d’Argile, which was released on DVD. She has sung the role of Osira in J.C. Bach’s Zanaida at the Cité de la Musique, Paris, at the Wiener Konzerthaus and at Teatru Manoel, Malta. She has also performed the roles of Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) at the Oper Köln, Leïla (Les Pêcheurs de perles) at the Opéra National de Lorraine à Nancy, and Juliette (Roméo et Juliette) at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
She has participated in festivals and concerts, and performed in the ‘Musiques en fête’, in June 2016, live from the Chorégies d’Orange. She also performed in Verdi’s Messa da Requiem, in the title role of La traviata and as Micaëla in Carmen with the Orchestre national de France at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.
She has recently appeared in the title role in Manon and as Nannetta in Falstaff in Monte Carlo, Frasquita at the Opéra Bastille, Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro at the Opéra du Rhin, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at the Opéra de Paris, Antonia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann in Lausanne, Adina in L’elisir d’amore in Toulouse and Princess Saamcheddine in Mârouf, savetier du Caire at the Opéra Comique.
