Nicholas Sheffo
Fulvue Drive-in, July 2016

Still Life At The Penguin Cafe (1987) is a ballet that has the benefit of narration from no less than Jeremy Irons, it offers a series of not necessarily related dance segments that go for different kinds of music and only runs 39 minutes. However, it is some very compelling work and worth a good look for those who would be interested. © 2016 Fulvue Drive-in Read complete review

Remy Franck
Pizzicato, January 2016

Pieces from all periods of Scriabin, from his early post-romantic period to the mysticism of the end of his life, as well as rare pieces from his son and Boris Pasternak, can be heard on this CD. Using the crystal clear sound of a Yamaha Grand, the pianist explores the music from emotional-mystical quietness up to the most effervescent intensity. © 2016 Pizzicato

Celebrating the British Penguin Cafe Orchestra, a musical icon from the Seventies and up to 1997*, when its founder Simon Jeffes died, this video is a mixture of performance, ballet and documentary and as such it is interesting und entertaining as well. © 2016 Pizzicato
