Guy Rickards
Gramophone, July 2014

Performances and recordings are excellent, mostly by the players for whom they were written. Definitely a talent to watch. © 2014 Gramophone Read complete review on Gramophone

David Denton
David's Review Corner, March 2014

The young Danish composer, Rune Glerup, is working outside the concept of musical flow, and offers the listener blocks of sound independent of one another. They call for many permutations of both acoustic instruments and electronics, my own favourites being the first Dust encapsulated for percussion and live electronics, and the unusual sound patterns for the Piano Sonata, though I guess the more readily accepted sounds from the Athelas Sinfonietta in Divertimento will prove the easiest entry-point into his world. It is a delicate and often transparent score in one continuous and extended movement. Having played the disc three times, I can only add that it is such a unique musical voice you will have to try Glerup yourself. I guess it is not easy to perform and the sound quality is very good. © 2014 David’s Review Corner
