Howard Ferstler
Sensible Sound, February 2002

"Multi-disc sets like this rarely have superb sound, but this one does, and the music is superbly played, too. The soundstage, imaging, clarity, and spread of this presentation are excellent in every way, and assorted DSP ambiance simulations that I applied were equally excellent. Baroque at its best, and plenty too."

Robert Emmett
Fanfare, August 2001

"Tempo extremes are avoided, and we are treated to a relaxed and unbuttoned approach to music that requires exactly that. In short, this set is four and one-half hours of sheer aural pleasure, wonderfully executed, and served up at roughly half the price of either the Archiv or MDG set. Naxo's sound also outclasses the digital remastering of the old Bruggen performances on Teldec.
