Tracy Anne Smith
American Record Guide, November 2019

The Tres Piezas Espanolas are particularly charming. After sailing through the ‘Fandango’s’ brusque opening, Kavanagh delivers each phrase with an abundance of character without distorting musical intent. Each repetition of an idea is not a mere repeat but ceaselessly builds on and develops her interpretation of the motives—one aspect to the driving quality of her playing. It is never boring.

This is worth listening to on a regular basis. Prepare to settle in, perhaps with a glass of Rioja. © 2019 American Record Guide  Read complete review on American Record Guide

Audio Video Club of Atlanta, August 2019

Canadian guitarist Dale Kavanagh again demonstrates her wonderful facility in capturing the dramatic rhythms and the clear harmonies of Spanish music, in particular the gloriously vivid, atmospheric music of Joaquin Rodrigo (1901-1999). Under her nimble fingers, the passionate love of beauty and the sadness and warmth of Rodrigo’s music come to instant, vivid life. © 2019 Audio Video Club of Atlanta Read complete review

Jean-Yves Duperron
Classical Music Sentinel, July 2019

Canadian-born (Halifax) guitarist Dale Kavanagh lends the Baroque sensibilities of this work a sense of elegance and grace previously unnoticed. And as demonstrated in the Invocacion y danza can impressively bring out multiple voices simultaneously, as well as handle intricate technical demands when required. She has been actively recording for just over 20 years now with most of her fine recordings released on the Hanssler Classic label. Here she is joined by the Arad State Philharmonic Orchestra of Romania, conducted by Horst-Hans Backer. © 2019 Classical Music Sentinel Read complete review
