"Victoria Aja is one of those pianists who show you dont have to win any big international competitions to demonstrate a refined sense of touch, a wealth of dynamics, and a strong technique. Aja has clearly studied these compositions exhaustively, and plays them all as a convincing advocate despite Guridis pronounced stylistic evolution.
The sound is natural and well defined, though the liner notes are singularly short and lacking in pertinent detail. My other reservation about this release is the surprising absence of one of the Tres piezas breves. Why give us only two of these short pieces, when there are nearly 20 minutes to spare on the CD?
But its difficult to work up much of a complaint after listening to this music and its performance. Highly recommended, and please, lets have more of the same, as soon as possible."
