Rob Haskins

PÄRT, A.: Adam’s Passion (R. Wilson, Kaljuste) (NTSC) ACC-20333
PÄRT, A.: Lost Paradise (The) (Documentary, 2015) (NTSC) ACC-20321

The performers (also including Trevor Mattias Sakias as a Boy) are all marvelous; the music is as well performed as it can be. © 2016 American Record Guide Read complete review on American Record Guide

Chicago Tribune, December 2015

The best classical recordings of 2015

A luminous, slow-motion meditation on Adam’s fall, a music theater piece that unfolds outside normal perceptions of time and space. The effect is absolutely hypnotic, although sitting through the 94 minutes does require a degree of patience from the viewer that’s amply rewarded by the end. © 2015 Chicago Tribune

Infodad.com, December 2015

there is a level of comfort communicated by the way Pärt delicately balances vocal and instrumental forces, and through the deliberate pacing of so much of the material. © 2015 Infodad.com Read complete review

Pizzicato, November 2015

PÄRT, A.: Adam`s Passion (R. Wilson, Kaljuste) (NTSC) ACC-20333
PÄRT, A.: Lost Paradise (The) (Documentary, 2015) (NTSC) ACC-20321

Here we have two excellent video productions, the deeply emotional performance of Pärt’s ‘Adam’s Passion’ in a stunning staging by Robert Wilson and a very instructive documentary about this production and Arvo Pärt’s music in general. © 2015 Pizzicato
