Peter J Rabinowitz
Fanfare, March 2019

Tomellini shows an uncanny ability to separate the strands of the music, which, combined with her supple lyricism (more in demand here than in the Paganini Études) and her coloristic nuance, gives the music a welcome glow. In fact, on my first time through the disc, I was so taken with the quiet ecstasy at the end of “Un Sospiro” that I was sure she had made a mistake by not placing it at the end of her recital. Surely, “Gnomenreigen,” a far shallower piece, would destroy the effect? Not so: She serves up a surprisingly gentle reading of that warhorse, and the sheer delicacy of the closing measures will leave you transported. © 2019 Fanfare Read complete review

American Record Guide, March 2019

Tomellini is every bit as impressive as Daniil Trifonov … she is more flexible and engaging than Jorge Bolet … The recorded sound is excellent.

Tomellini looks us straight in the eye with an expression of confidence and daring. This lady is a force to be reckoned with, and I am eager to hear her again. © 2019 American Record Guide Read complete review on American Record Guide
