Rick Anderson
Baker & Taylor CD Hotlist, February 2016

No such qualms with the Ensemble Galilei, which consists of both folk and classical performers and whose programs juxtapose trad and baroque music very effectively. On From Whence We Came you’ll hear traditional jigs and reels, original trad-style tunes, selections from Telemann and Marais, and odds and ends like Swedish and Irish hymns. It’s a hodgepodge, yes, but a carefully designed and exquisitely executed one. © 2016 Baker & Taylor CD Hotlist Read complete review

Grego Applegate Edwards
Gapplegate Classical-Modern Music Review, December 2015

These are first-rate musicians with a sense of borderless possibilities and a beautiful sound. They give you a respite from the modern intensities of our world with music of breadth and content. This is indeed an exceptional experience!

Highly recommended! © 2015 Gapplegate Classical-Modern Music Review Read complete review

Midwest Record, October 2015

A wondrous set of sounds that you won’t be able to readily place and will ultimately surprise you with where they are from, this classical feeling instrumental date is just perfect for when you need something intimate and personal to restore your frayed nerves. Packaged as a twofer with the second disc being a blu ray audio of the session, this is first class grown up music for grown ups that don’t feel like they have to compete with their children. Well done. © 2015 Midwest Record Read complete review
