Jed Distler
ClassicsToday.com, September 2020

Ivanov’s Lisztian affinity truly shines, such as in his hauntingly stretched-out tremolos in No. 11’s first half, and the pianist’s impetuous , forward moving shaping of the Rákóczy March’s low-register build-up into the sprightly main theme. And Ivanov’s terse, forthright delivery liberates the short, brooding No. 3 from its normally dirge-like state. © 2020 ClassicsToday.com Read complete review

Remy Franck
Pizzicato, September 2020

Martin Ivanov is thus anything but a keyboard lion. He is a musician who reveals the deeper aspects and makes Liszt’s fascination for the tunes of the wandering peoples of his homeland fully understandable. In this way, with a technically brilliant playing and much sensitivity, Ivanov’s interpretations of the Hungarian Rhapsodies are truly soulful. They are, and this should be emphasised, highly personal readings with Liszt’s scores, which almost have an improvisational character. © 2020 Pizzicato Read complete review
