Harriet Smith
Gramophone, September 2013

There’s much to admire in Michelangeli’s performance of K450…be it in his delicate interplay with the orchestra, the sense of an almost vocal line in the Andante or the naughty-but-nice introduction of an additional cadenza prior to the finale’s development. This is supremely classy Mozart-playing and…a very welcome addition to the catalogue. © 2013 Gramophone Read complete review on Gramophone

Scott Noriega
Fanfare, September 2013

Michelangeli performs as expected: His tone is always beautiful and rounded, his scales and arpeggios are crystal clear, his control of dynamic shading and nuances is awe-inspiring…One sits on the edge of one’s seat when listening to this Mozart.

…these are…performances to cherish. © 2013 Fanfare Read complete review

Norman Lebrecht
La Scena Musicale, May 2013

Uncanny, inimitable, you must hear Michaelangeli in the K466 and K450 concertos, recorded in 1956 mono. No second thoughts. © 2013 La Scena Musicale Read complete review

Gary Lemco
Audiophile Audition, April 2013

Conductor Bavier has his own passions to inject into this fine collaboration, and his orchestra makes a forceful virile impression. The convulsive but happy integration of forces comes together brilliantly, and I would rate this performance among the greats…

In the course of the cadenza, Michelangeli indulges in those alla musette figurations that project an other-worldly charm in his music-making.

Certainly, this concerto served to display Mozart’s considerable prowess at the keyboard… © 2013 Audiophile Audition Read complete review
