Ralph V. Lucano
American Record Guide, September 2015

[Jesús León] has a slender, steady voice, evenly and smoothly produced, and his top notes are spectacular. © 2015 American Record Guide Read complete review on American Record Guide

Ken Meltzer
Fanfare, September 2015

León’s voice has silvery beauty and welcome security through all registers, extending to a secure and brilliant high C, and even beyond (Tonio’s cabaletta from Donizetti’s The Daughter of the Regiment is every bit the thrilling showpiece it should be). His diction in this all-Italian recital is clear and impeccable, and wedded to a pristine legato without a hint of scooping or sliding into pitches. León also produces many lovely effects via dynamic shading. The recorded sound is first-rate, and the contributions by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra…and conductor Toby Purser are all fine. © 2015 Fanfare Read complete review

Robert Hugill
Planet Hugill, June 2015

…Jesús León clearly has a strong sense of what shows his voice off. On this disc he gives a series of highly shapely, polished and a lovely sense of style.

I loved the sense of style which Jesús León brings to this repertoire, with his sense of a flexible line and nice fluidity in the music. © 2015 Planet Hugill Read complete review
