John Miller
SA-CD.net, August 2014

Normally, it is easier for a listener to absorb suites of short dances a few at a time, but here the palette of colours available illuminate these pieces in a unique way, lavish though it may be, encouraging one’s listening to the whole recording in one setting. This is a remarkable organ experience…

Highly recommended. © 2014 SA-CD.net Read complete review

Fanfare, March 2013

…the set can be recommended for the impressive sounds that issue from the organ’s pipes, thanks to Albrecht’s willingness to explore its wide range of registrations and sonic capabilities, to his superb finger and foot work, and to Oehms’s dynamic recording. © 2013 Fanfare Read complete review

Mark Kravchenko
Classical Music Sentinel, February 2013

In this recording we have the organist Hansjörg Albrecht doing what he does best. He has the ability to take a score and bring it alive in manners that few other musicians possess.

We get to here wonderful clear and sweet flutes, sparkling mixtures, and deep sonorities. Comfort food for the ears. But wait, there is also spices, wonderful bold trumpets en chamade, and blazing french baroque stops that spit fire and sulphur.

It is enlightening to hear the various lines of music in greater clarity. It is a very engaging way to listen to the partitas. What Hansjörg has done is anything but stuffy. I invite you to listen and compare your favorite version with this one. It has a permanent place in my collection. My two thumbs up whole heartedly. © 2013 Classical Music Sentinel Read complete review

Classical CD Choice, September 2012

Such is the understated skill of these organ transcriptions that just a few bars of the music quickly suggests that this is precisely the way in which these glorious pieces deserve to be heard. The recording accorded this set is almost a justification itself for the SACD medium with even the most subtle of pedal notes captured with maximum fidelity. © 2012 Classical CD Choice
