James Miller
Fanfare, March 2015

There have been so many recordings of Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche and so many of them pretty much “sound alike”… At last I have discovered a recording that doesn’t quite fit the mold by, of all things, a conductor who slows down a bit to admire the scenery and, in doing so, throws some interesting details into bolder relief…it’s surprising how effective it is in highlighting Strauss’s somewhat heavy wit.

…the Symphonia Domestica…receives a sunny, relaxed performance that…is blessed with sound that is both vivid and lush. © 2015 Fanfare Read complete review

American Record Guide, January 2015

These are capable readings of two of Strauss’s most complex tone poems. Weigle has a handle on the overall structure of both works, the symphony especially, resulting in good, coherent interpretations. © 2015 American Record Guide Read complete review on American Record Guide

Rob Maynard
MusicWeb International, November 2014

…this new account of Sinfonia Domestica from Sebastian Weigle is…so very beautifully played and finely recorded…What comes across most is the strength of the control that Weigle exercises throughout. The balance that he establishes within the orchestra is quite simply superb and he is a master of orchestral colour. © 2014 MusicWeb International Read complete review
