Jerry Dubins
Fanfare, July 2016

Nishimoto-Neubert’s Bach is beautifully done. She doesn’t go for a “harpsichord” sound on her Steinway grand, but her use of the sustaining pedal is reserved and tasteful. Moreover, her fingering is strong and sure, bringing out the contrapuntal interplay between the voices with clarity and transparency.

Nishimoto-Neubert is a very talented young artist with a consummate technique, a special ear for Bach, and a strong musical sensitivity to the Romantic music of Hensel and Mendelssohn. Enthusiastically recommended. © 2016 Fanfare Read complete review

These are excellent-sounding studio recordings from Bavarian Radio in 2013. …[Nishimoto-Neubert] has produced an appealing and thought-provoking album that should speak to any Bach Lover’s heart. © 2016 Fanfare Read complete review

Fanfare, July 2016

…Nishimoto-Neubert distills the lyricism and poetry of this music without ever resorting to the sentimentality that lurks in the score. …Nishimoto-Neubert startled me with the power and even ferocity of the Mendelssohn Variations. She sounds like a different pianist in this music, but of course, she is in reality the same thoughtful, artistically self-less pianist, applying her gifts to new music and letting the composer make the difference. © 2016 Fanfare Read complete review
