Ken Meltzer
Fanfare, May 2016

…Marija Vidovic’s lyric soprano is lovely, focused, and capable of admirable dynamic variety. Her legato is seamless, and her diction precise and clear.

The Philharmonie Baden-Baden negotiates the broad tempos with beautiful tonal quality. The rich, full, and detailed recorded sound favors the soloist, to the point that intakes of air between phrases are quite noticeable. © 2016 Fanfare Read complete review

The 11 selections include two arias by Vincenzo Bellini that effortlessly soar to stratospheric heights, as in Julietta’s “Eccomi, in lieta vesta” (Behold me, decked out like a victim on the altar) from The Capulets and the Montagues. Three Mozart arias feature Susannah’s teasing “Deh vieni, non tardar” as the centerpiece in a jewel setting that includes Konstanze’s “Ach, ich liebte” (How I loved him) from Abduction from the Seraglio and Pamina’s “Ach, ich fühl’s” (Ah, I feel it) from The Magic Flute. © 2015 Audio Video Club of Atlanta
