Lynn René Bayley
The Art Music Lounge, April 2016

Most of the performances pretty much speak for themselves and are superb in every way. Berberian was a meticulous musician…and her remarkable ability to sing virtually any language well is certainly on display here. Hungarian, Finnish, Croatian, Bulgarian, Russian, Hebrew, even Chinese all emerge from her with surprisingly good diction.

No one was ever really in Cathy Berberian’s league. She was the owner and manager of her one-woman all-star team. © 2016 The Art Music Lounge | An Online Journal of Jazz and Classical Music Read complete review

Review Corner, April 2016

[Berberian’s] voice is distinctive and her approach even more so, combining serious intent with humour…

It’s a charming CD, pleasing for those who like her voice alone and also for those who want mere entertainment.

The standouts are the Welsh Ar Hyd Y Nos for its mournful air and the lively Spanish El vito, but it’s all good. © 2016 Review Corner Read complete review
