Johan van Veen
MusicWeb International, March 2016

…the liturgical framework lends [disc] a character of its own, and the performances are very respectable. Especially the soprano and alto soloists are fine, and so is the playing of the instrumentalists, including Franco Vito Gaiezza who plays the organ works. © 2015 MusicWeb International Read complete review

John W. Barker
American Record Guide, September 2015

This is a very good recording […] the full choir is robust and the instrumental group excellent. © 2015 American Record Guide Read complete review on American Record Guide

Dan Sperrin
Fanfare, July 2015

There is a lot to like in the milder intimate moments. The organ player has done particularly well to blend in with the glorious orchestra, aside from [the] solos. The choir itself, always magisterial on this CD, is particularly excellent towards the end, where the theological sophistication of the text has escalated, and a higher, more complex form of polyphony takes over.

This is one to go out and buy instantly. It is a brilliant Requiem, with Rubino at the height of his powers. © 2015 Fanfare Read complete review
