Glyn Pursglove
MusicWeb International, September 2020

Margola’s neoclassicism is well-represented in his Trio no.2 in A, for violin, cello and piano—a piece which grew directly from the encouragement of Casella. Indeed, Casella gave a good many performances of the work with his ‘Trio Italiano’ (made up of Casella, violinist Alberto Poltronieri and cellist Arturo Bonucci).

Discs such as these and a few other recent issues from Italian companies are making possible a fairer assessment of Margola. That, it seems to me, is a very good thing! © 2020 MusicWeb International Read complete review

Records International, March 2020

Previous releases have proved Margola to be approachable and mainly in the neo-classical vein so this heaping helping of music which covers the period from the early 1930s to the late 1980s is more than welcome. Roughly one whole disc contains the orchestral pieces and the larger chamber works. 2 CDs. More performers than you can shake a stick at including Orchestra and Chamber Ensemble of the Arrigo Boito Conservatory of Parma. © 2020 Records International
