Jerry Dubins
Fanfare, March 2016

…what so beguiles me about Sims’s performance is her sense of continuity—there’s barely a pause between variations—which carries the listener forward through the work from beginning to end, …It’s a combination of Sims’s “building the case” through logical exegesis, and the sheer tonal beauty and refinement of her playing, that grips this listener from the very beginning and doesn’t let go until the last note fades away.

Lori Sims’s Goldberg Variations is a must-hear for anyone who is passionate about this music. © 2016 Fanfare Read complete review

Phil Muse
Audio Video Club of Atlanta, March 2016

Normally, you record a work of music in a studio for the sake of perfection. In this case, given the delight and precision of Sims’ performance, the precaution was hardly necessary. © 2016 Audio Video Club of Atlanta Read complete review

Alex Baran
The WholeNote, January 2016

Sims does a terrific job at holding Bach’s many threads together while still applying her own nuances to phrases, individualizing her ornaments, playing with a light clear touch and avoiding the sustain pedal altogether. © 2016 The WholeNote Read complete review
