In the excerpts from Die Zauberflöte, Die Entführung and Don Giovanni Tauber’s ravishing tone, soaring line and impeccable breath-control are an object lesson for successive generations. The disc also features several arias from operas which Tauber never or rarely sang in the opera house. These include Jocelyn, Sadko, Joseph and Martha.
