Born in France in 1886, Marcel Dupré became the most famous organist composer of the twentieth century, with a considerable catalogue of organ, chamber and symphonic music. The four organ works on this disc range over forty years, from the programmatic Suite Bretonne written in 1923 to the 1965 In Memoriam, the largest of Dupré’s last works and written in memory of his daughter Marguerite.
