FIBICH: Moods, Impressions and Reminiscences (Selection)
The most important Czech composer of the later 19th century, after Dvořák and Smetana, Zdeněk Fibich was prolific, producing over fifty years a wide variety of music. In style he has been considered more international and coupled outstanding technical ability with great originality. This last is shown particularly in his piano music, not least the extended piano ‘diary’, Moods, Impressions and Reminiscences, written during the last ten years of his life.
