Winner of the 2000 National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance of the American Guild of Organists, Korean-born Ji-yoen Choi has studied music since the age of four. In a review for The American Organist, from the final round of the competition in Seattle, her performance of Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in C major, BWV 547, was described as “so rhythmically compelling that one could hardly sit still.”
