Born in Granada in 1975, David Martinez studied at the Conservatory of Music in Granada, the Mozarteum in Vienna and the Hochschule für Musik in Munich. He has won first prizes in numerous international competitions including the Vélez Málaga (1997), ‘Andrés Segovia’ de Linares (1997), Villa de Puente Genil (2000), Ciudad de Coria (2001) and Francisco Tárrega, Benicásim (2004). David Martinez has given concerts throughout Spain and toured in Germany, Egypt, Turkey and the United States, as well performing on national radio and television broadcasts in those countries.
