Rarely has any other composer equalled the sheer beauty of Schubert’s chamber music. The Trout Quintet D 667 and the “Piano Trio D 897”, called the “Notturno” or “night music”, are two of his most poignant works and are masterfully played by the Kodaly Quartet and the Stuttgart Piano Trio.
