Shafqat Salamat Ali Khan is a pioneer of the Shaam Churasi Gharana tradition. He is the son of Salamat Ali Khan; his father educated him in the field of music. Shafqat Salamat Ali Khan was awarded the All Pakistan Music Conference ’Lifetime Achievement Award’ and was presented the ‘Pride of Performance Award’ by the Government of Pakistan. He teaches music at the Punjab National College of Arts.
