Turab Ali Khan is from the Delhi Gharana tradition. He was taught by his uncle Ikhlaq Hussain Khan and his grandfather Imdaad Hussain Khan. Gul Muhammad is the son of Akhtar Hussain and grandson of Ghulam M. Khan. Gul’s musical education was passed down from his father.
