Garth Knox’s Viola Spaces consists of eight compact works, each built around a specific extended technique for the viola. Multiphonics, harmonics, alternative pizzicato forms, bow-pressure effects, and noise-based sounds are shaped into concise musical studies that expand the instrument’s expressive and technical range.
