Christine Busch and Stefania Neonato are accomplished performers in historically informed performance practice. For the present recording they used a fortepiano by Nannette Streicher (which was also a close friend of Beethoven), from 1814. The instrument with No. 1060 is located in the Haus der Musik Fruchtkasten (Stuttgart) and is one of the most valuable instruments of the collection.

The present EP is part of an album containing three sonatas for fortepiano and violine by Beethoven, which will be released in January 2025.
