We are delighted to report that the Dynamic label has received the 2026 Premio Abbiati del Disco award in the solo repertoire category for its album Romantic Florence (CDS8082), which features mezzo-soprano Marina Comparato and pianist Gianni Fabbrino. The awards are established among Italy’s most prestigious honours in classical music and are presented by the Italian National Association of Music Critics.

The album’s programme comprises songs by Italian composer Luigi Gordigiani, a prominent figure in 19th-century Florence, who became known as the ‘Italian Schubert’. His creativity found its best expression in songs for voice and piano that earned him international renown in a period when opera reigned supreme in Italy.

Widely applauded for her performances in opera, Marina specialises in the great Mozart roles, while also giving noted performances of Baroque, bel canto and Romantic repertoire, as well as 20th-century music.
