Nominations for the 2025 OPUS KLASSIK awards are announced
June 17, 2025OPUS KLASSIK is Germany’s most prestigious awards body for classical music. With the distinguished jury selecting both the nominated albums and subsequently the category winners, OPUS KLASSIK has released its list of nominations for the 2025 awards. Among them are four albums from the Naxos Music Group.
Nominated for Young Talent of the Year is cellist Lionel Martin for his SWR programme of works by Kabalevsky, Shostakovich and Tchaikovsky, while Naxos’ audiovisual release of Tchaikovsky’s seldom-performed opera The Enchantress receives a nomination for Audiovisual Music Production of the Year.
The Capriccio label receives two nominations: the first for World Premiere Recording of the Year (orchestral works by Maria Herz) and the second for Concert Recording of the Year (works by Nikolai Kapustin featuring pianist Frank Dupree).
