Diwan repertoire refers to the devotional music that is often performed during a ceremony or meeting. In the Islamic Sufi tradition, a diwan is usually a philosophical or musical symposium that can be religious or secular. Diwan draws upon the sonic essence of Middle Eastern song, while allowing the artists to contribute their regional styles to make each performance unique.
