Sylvio Lazzari, a neglected French composer of Austrian origins who had gained a sporadic renown as an opera composer, produced a powerful Symphony and a dramatic Symphonic Suite following the cyclic form of the school of César Franck through a language already sympathizing with more modern tendencies of French music of the 20th century.
