This seventh volume in Naxos’s complete survey of Lutosławski’s orchestral music brings together a number of his rarely heard works. The Three Postludes, composed between 1958 and 1960, take as their starting point the harmonic language of Musique funèbre. The Preludes and Fugue for 13 solo strings, when performed together, is one of the longest of his mature works.
