Dora Pavlíková was born in Prague in 1981 and sang with the children’s choir Bambini di Praga. She studied singing in Prague at the Jan Deyls Conservatory and then at the Pardubice Conservatory, where she appeared as Rusalka in Dvořák’s opera and as Lidunka in Blodek’s In the Well. She continued her studies at the Augsburg/Nuremberg Musikhochschule, singing the Countess in Le nozze di Figaro, Lisbeth in Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto at the Munich Chamber Opera, Fulvia in Rossini’s La pietra del paragone, Ninetta in Mozart’s La finta semplice and Marchesa Lucinda in Piccini’s La Cecchina, as well as Lauretta in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and Alice Ford in Verdi’s Falstaff at the Isny Opera Festival.

In 2007 she sang the title-rôle in Fredegunda in Munich, Karlsruhe and Bayreuth, winning special acclaim from Opernwelt. In the Czech Republic she has won various competitions and has participated in concert tours throughout Europe, to Japan and to Israel. She appeared in a semistaged production of Ullmann’s Der Kaiser von Atlantis in France with the Talich Quartet. She holds a scholarship from the Augsburg Richard Wagner Society and the German Bühnenverein.
