Born in 1995, Elisabeth Brauß began piano classes with Elena Levit at the age of six and from 2007 to 2010 was a student at the Institut zur Früh-Förderungmusikalisch Hochbegabter (‘Institute for Gifted Children’) of the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover. From 2008 to 2010 she studied with Elena Levit and Matti Raekallio, and since 2010 with Bernd Goetzke.
She has appeared with leading German orchestras and was awarded First Prize in the International Steinway Competition in Hamburg and in the Brunswick Grotrian-Steinweg Piano Competition. In 2019 she was awarded the Lower Saxony Praetorius Music Prize and in 2013 the Hamburg TONALi Grand Prix and public prize. In 2015 she was awarded First Prize in the Ton und Erklärung competition in Frankfurt and in 2016 in the Bad Kissingen Piano Olympic.
In 2017 she made her debut album featuring works by Beethoven, Prokofiev, Chopin and Michael Denhoff for Oehms Classics.
