The violinist Emy Bernecoli was born in 1983, and after obtaining her diploma in violin at the A. Buzzolla Music Academy in Adria (Ro) obtained the higher Second Level Academic Diploma in music with top marks and presented a thesis on Paganini’s Le Streghe. She has collaborated with various orchestras, including the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Orchestra at the Teatro Lirico ‘G. Verdi’ in Trieste, the Arturo Toscanini Philarmonic in Parma and the Chamber Orchestra in Mantua. Studying with Pavel Vernikov and Mariana Sirbu, in 2006 she graduated from the highly specialised music academy, the Accademia di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale ‘R. Romanini’ in Brescia under Domenico Nordio, devoting herself to a romantic and virtuoso repertoire. She has broadened her chamber repertoire with several members of the Quartetto di Venezia and the Nuovo Quartetto Italiano, with Istvan Parkanyi (first violin in the renowned Orlando Quartet) as well as with Gunter Pichler, first violin in the Alban Berg Quartett. In June 2010 she graduated in chamber music with top marks from the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome with Rocco Filippini and from the Accademia Musicale in Florence with Alessandro Specchi, with whom she studied the chamber repertoire for piano duos.
