Feng Bian received his Bachelor of Music degree and artist diploma from the Colburn Conservatory of Music, where he studied with John Perry, and his Master of Music degree from the Yale School of Music, where he studied with Peter Frankl and earned the Elizabeth Parisot Prize. He is currently pursuing a doctor of musical arts degree at the USC Thornton School of Music, where he studies with Norman Krieger and Jeffrey Kahane.
Feng Bian has given recitals in China, Europe, and the United States and has appeared as a soloist with the Colburn Orchestra, Culver City Symphony Orchestra, and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. He has won top prizes at the California division of the Music Teachers National Association Competition and the Parness Young Artists Concerto Competition, received the Encouragement Award at the Sydney International Piano Competition, and earned a bronze medal at the World Piano Competition. He was nominated in 2015 for an American Pianist Award.
