Winner of various international competitions, Laura Poverelli has sung the leading roles of her repertoire in distinguished opera houses in Italy and abroad, and at festivals such as Glyndebourne, the Rossini Opera Festival, and La Coruna Mozart Festival. She has appeared at, among many others, the Teatro alla Scala, Milan, the Teatro La Fenice, Venice, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Seattle Opera.

She has also performed under Claudio Abbado, Zubin Mehta, Jeffrey Tate and Ivor Bolton. In 2016 she sang in Monte Carlo in Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda, and performed in Norma in Japan.

She has a number of recordings to her credit, including her recent appearance at Rossini in Wildbad in the male title role of Eduardo e Cristina (2017, Naxos 8.660466-67)
